Corrections & verification log

This site publishes licence requirements, endorsement rules and fees that drivers use to plan a career move costing real time and money. When we get one wrong, the fix belongs in public — with what it said, what it says now, and how long the error stood.

Everything in the first section was live on the site. Errors caught in review before publishing are not listed there; calling those “corrections” would flatter us and tell you nothing. Our corrections policy explains the standard, and this page is the record of it being kept.

Spotted something wrong? Email editor@getcdllicense.com with the page and, if you have it, the primary source that contradicts us. Corrections are verified against a primary source before we change anything.

  1. July 31, 2026Federal SDAP programme — all 51 state pageslive for 6 days before we caught it

    Every state page asserted a conclusion date for the FMCSA Skills Test Difficulty Adjustment Programme that we could not verify. The FMCSA page is unreachable, its last archived capture is written in the present tense with no notice of the programme ending, and no Federal Register document announces it. We were stating a date because we had one, not because it was sourced.

Verification log

Checks of the data we publish, listed whether or not they found an error. A check that finds nothing is not a non-event — it is the only evidence that the checking happens at all.

  1. July 25, 2026All 51 jurisdictions — pre-publication review

    A full factual review of the dataset against primary sources before the site went public.

    Result: Eleven errors found and fixed before anyone could read them. South Carolina's $25 was a retest-only fee presented as the licence fee, and an age-rule citation pointed at a code section that actually defines gross vehicle weight rating. These were caught pre-publication, so they are not listed as corrections.

  2. July 25, 2026Federal ELDT citations

    Re-checked the citations behind the entry-level driver training rules against the eCFR.

    Result: The detail was cited to 49 CFR 380.603 and an FMCSA landing page when the text actually appears verbatim at 49 CFR 383.71(a)(10). Citation corrected before publication.

  3. August 11, 2026Illinois, Tennessee, Louisiana — sources we cannot reach

    Attempted to re-verify three states whose licensing sites do not respond to us. The Illinois Secretary of State refuses connections, Tennessee's servers drop our requests silently on both the apex and www hosts, and the Louisiana document portal is closed to us.

    Result: Not yet resolved, and recorded here rather than quietly left alone. The existing figures stand on their original sourcing; where a fee conflicts across sources, such as Pennsylvania's hazmat endorsement, the page discloses the conflict instead of picking a number.

Requirements and fees change without notice, and a page that is right today can be wrong next quarter. Always verify with your state licensing agency before you apply or pay anything.
